Interested in joining AFROTC at Detachment 190?

Air Force ROTC is a college program offered at 144 detachments in over 1000 colleges and universities across the U.S.  Detachment 190 is located on the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign campus and is one of only three detachments in the state of Illinois. Det 190 also serves students from cross town school  Parkland college.

Through ROTC, college students can earn a commission as an officer in the United States Air Force while pursuing their degree. We have a proud tradition of molding some of the greatest officers in the military. We know that our ROTC program will be challenging. But we also know that the rewards for those who graduate are great. When our students complete the ROTC program, they will have developed skills that will empower them to become the future officers and caretakers of the greatest Air Force in the world!

When a student participates in ROTC it also means:
  • The opportunity to get money for college
  • Making the most out of their college experience
  • The chance to earn a college degree while working toward becoming an officer in the United States Air Force
  • The chance to experience once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.  Check out these activities that our cadets have done in the past.
